You may have gotten the wrong idea about the semi-transparent ver. of the SSS2002 KOG w/Buster. The whole kit was ...

Here's something new to me, detailing. I used Tamiya Enamel Black for the wash. I actually had to stripped the waist because the spine had no lines to get any kind of a good wash going. So, with the help of a mini saw I was able to scribe new lines on the spine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v47...

What brand and type of paint and thinner do you use for the parts we're seeing here? And what primer do you have underneath? Hi Jim, Like you, I'm using Mr.Color lacquer for painting. For priming I use Mr.Surfacer. I find that adding Mr.Retarder Mild is very effective when you want to achieve a smo...

Finally, we get a slight update from the WSC site. Near the bottom of the page is a picture of the Flamberge, Ashura Prototype and Ashura Prototype 03. Check out the noticeably size difference between the Prototype and Prototype 03.

Sorry, Happy. I didn't have the time to take pictures of the parts today. Had another paint session today. Finally got to test out Alclad Chrome, which was fun. Now I see why a bottle of Alclad costs so much. I ended up spraying Mr.Color Silver and Alclad Chrome on spare resin trees so I can use the...

I wish you had asked me earlier. The MM SR-1 has been sitting in the box, while the parts of the SAV is on the floor in my living room. It doesn't seem like there will be much of anything new from FSS during this weekend's WonderFest. Volks will bring their Mighty Series and Calvary R. According to WSC web site, the 4th kit in the Temple Series, the Ashura Temple Prototype 03, will be unveiled soon.

The time has come for me to start painting. Since I'm still a newbie in painting, I started with the smaller parts. That way they would be easier to strip if I either mess up or don't like the colors. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/sheizzel/Volks%20SAV%20Engage%20SR-1/SAVsr1_paint_wip01.jpg ...

You're welcome, EvilKurisu :D . Good to hear that you'll be able to start working on this kit. You've definitely picked a challenging kit to start with. Both the size and sculpt aren't the easiest to work with.
