Just wanted to point out that a Siren Alkana has been added to this page. I dunno how the guy can update so fast. Unless he had a bunch of models finished before, and he is just taking photos of them now.

haha i would actually think the other way round, i won't mind some more work on pinning and assembly, cos the masking of SSS kits always freaked me out (i did 4 and that's enuf already :P ) though MM series is another killer........... I mostly just spray large base colors, and do smaller areas and...

Thanks for the detailed info on both kits. :D I think I'm leaning towards the SSS kit for now because it has a pretty attractive pose and some interesting details, too bad I just missed on one YJ auction that ended at Yen6500~(over slept and forgot to place bid  ). Here's another cheap SSS LE...

more at CAA Model Booth

Some people may have seen this page already, but I think the Engage Sr1 and Bang Doll are pretty recent. I certainly don't remember seeing them the last time I visited this page. I really like the attention to detail that this guy puts into his work - particularly on the Bang Doll. http://caamodelbo...

but u may grow to hate SSS kits in terms of the work u need to get the parts painted, esp. the amount of masking u need to do for airbrushing. this is becos so many of the parts are cast in one piece, unlike normal Volks MM, AF or WSC kits which makes painting simpler (though assembly more pain) It...

It's not IN the manga. It's only in the artbook.

Viewing his work, I notice he cut the shouler blade of the zakker. A very unusual choice. That's because he built the other Zakker variation. From the artbook illustration. It's not supposed to have the blades............... http://gearsonline.net/fss/mh/zakker/zakker.jpg ........................

I have 2 problems w/ Al. It's too heavy and can pull the rest of the connected part off (parts connected to the thruster) It's Al so you can't paint metal easily if you decide not to have Al color inside, say you want some part of that thruster be another color. If it's resin or plastic, it's obvio...

Re: quick kit questions

Is volk' AF Led Mirage Full equipment type worth getting? also does it come with the swords? and how about volks' SSS Led Mirage Amaterasu? thanks Well, it just so happens that I've built both... so I can answer pretty well. :) AF LED w/ Flame Unit is, of course, a free pose kit. Smallish like othe...

I'm sure you probably noticed, but this is actually the WSC Prominence.

Definitely one of the nicer kits from WSC in recent years, I think.

CAA Model Booth - V-Siren Prominence

This guy is pretty quick.

I don't like some aspects of the paintjob... but I do really like the subtle variety of shades used for the 'internals'.

Knight Flags are version and manga appearance version.

In reality, the 2 faces are very very similar. Not a lot of difference.

zchen wrote:didn't g-system do one based on the WSC LED w/flame launcher?
There is a G system kit... but I don't think it's based on the WSC LED. As far as I can recall, it's a recast of an older kit released by... Craftsbase? Or Art Gallery? Or some other company?
