I agree w/ KOG overall, Volk is better. But an unfinish is, in the end, an unfinish kit. There is no excuse, and that missing eyes is giving away business to WSC. In short, that kit should not have been rel. until the eyes is done. And quite frankly, the sculpter simply forgot and Volks most likely...

Well, when I see someone posting up links to websites featuring 'cheap medication' on the modeling board, I feel pretty sure it's spam and so I avoid clicking. :)

happy hopping wrote:but to be fair, WSC sculpted the mermaid's face. As to Volks, what they did is sheer deception towards customer, and realistically an unfinish kit.
And despite that the Volks still looks better.

Not too shabby for a WSC kit.

I want to be able to do gloss the way he does. :(

Hopefully he'll ditch that butt ugly WSC Sr1 and start back on his Twin Tower! :D
Finally.

Those that remember my pics of my Bang Doll will recall that my first shot (taken while the kit was standing on my work desk) looked to be a different color from the pics that I took with a proper background, out in my front room. And even when I'm taking shots in the same place, photos may look dif...

KOG: I don't know about that, but I did notice in the close up of the "back pack cannon" for the twin tower, the green on the back pack cannon is not the same green when we view the overall photos of the same part. If the camera is displaying the close up of the back pack as a different green, why ...

He's just selling the box eh? Well, it's not as odd as you might think. A lot of japanese modelers dump their boxes to save some space in their small apartments. Perhaps someone who threw out their box a while ago might now regret it, and would be happy to get a replacement box. Maybe they moved int...

I don't know what the characters said in the dub. I watched it subtitled. But in Japanese the characters say "Hyaku Shiki" which means "Type 100." I was actually asking about the original japanese version. Not the dub. A name like "Gundam" is a made-up name. There's no possibility of translation. A...

You raise some good points but I'm still not decided. For one thing, when I was watching through the Z Gundam episodes on DVD I kept wondering why they didn't say "Type 100." It seemed like a sloppy way to translate. Well, I haven't watched a lot of Gundam, so I can't be certain here... but isn't t...

I don't think he paints his kits. He probably just pins them up and then colors them with photoshop.

Well, we all say Hyaku Shiki, and not 'type 100'.

I always think it's best to stick with traditionally used versions of names.

MM Sr1 is artbook version and SAV Sr1 is manga version. Just like with MM/SAV V-sirens.

Jinnai, you have 3 GL Jagd heads... what's the one in grey? I said it above. =p Kaiyodo 1/220 (first release) Tani Jagd. Sorry, I missed where you mentioned... it was sandwhiched between giant photos. Anyways, interesting size comparisons. If we can say that the Jagd heads are more or less 1/144, t...
