Thanks Sheizzel. Yeah, if you have a copy of the build instructions for the Hydra that would be really helpful (especially the leg page). You could post it here or mail it to me. One last question. Do the instructions recommend a transparent paint for the Hydra ? It seems the Hydra is the only Might...

WoW !,
Thankyou so much.
The Instructions I got with the kit were awful.
They even missed a whole page on the leg construction.

Are they suggesting painting the subsurface armour metal / grey or gold ?

I wasn't sure of clear paints even existed !
paint the under armour
Do you mean the skeleton ?

How about painting the inside face of the clear armour ?
There are a lot of details on the reverse of the armour.

Well I finally received my Hydra.( :) ) Has anyone built a transparent armour FSS kit before ? I found a few untranslatable Japanese sites. It seems the pro modelers polish the clear parts first to make them more transparent... Also, with the B4 it's seems to be painted with semi-transparent paint. ...

Falk. Great to hear your into 3d.
I work in 3d here in NY.
I'm using XSI, Maya & Lightwave.

I'd love to see any renders you have.

Figures that fans of Nagano, would be into design themselves.

I love the Samurai / Knights Templar analogy.

Mark, did you write the intro on the Waxtrax site ?
I always thought that was a great piece.
Really sets the tone and context of FSS within Japanese culture.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty sure it's the 1/100 clear volks, not a recast. http://www.hobbyfan.com/product_info.php/cPath/168/products_id/699 What are recast sites like ? Which kits are for sale ? (It's becoming increasingly difficult to track kits down) I recall a few Korean sites that might ...
