I think the point is that this kit is done with the same level of self indulgence that Nagano engages in with the FSS itself. The kit wasn't made to make a buck as much as to make a point. I look at it as a kind of performance art type of thing.

But it is kinda cool that the guy is crazy enough to go that route.

Yes, yes. I can't recommend that kit strongly enough.

We should make a Flash Geo-political interface whehere you click on a planet and get a political map that has clickable nations that link to it's associated family-political and associated Mortar Headd-Headliner-Fatima stats. That would be way cool.

The cover pics look good. But I don't sign up for these server pages. We should have a model gallery on this site.

That page is AWESOME!!! I have been toying around with the idea of sculpting some FSS charcters. Those progress shots are VERY inspirational.

Never mind the fact that you would be buying a model made in Honk Kong that was shipped to the USA then shipped back westward to Singapore.

I think the wonderfest models are limited to 20 units. I bet that a recaster wasn't able to get on of them. There were also a dozen figures this year that should have had a wider release.

Ghastness Temple

Has anyone here seen a Ghatsness Temple pop up anywhere? Of all the awesome Wonderfest kits that did end up getting recasted, that one wasn't. I really like that design. The 1/100th scale kit looked pretty good.

I order from e2046 more often than Hobbyfan lately. They are equal in quality as far as I am concerned. They are both reliable and I trust them.

The Silicon Tribe kit seems to be 3cm taller than the Volks one. That isn't really that much. I would just get the one you prefer. I always prefer the Volks interpretations.

I'm thinking in farm tractor terms here. They literally push oil into either end to make the cylinder move.

Modern hydraulics work on both the push and the pull. You are just pushing from the other end of the cylinder.

I hate toon shading. I would rather not have a movie than to see any compromise in Nagano's design style. I really dislike the character design from the first movie. And toon shading would only make the problem worse.

PETER JACKSON! Forget about a live action Evengelion. Do FSS in live action man! He would treat the subject with respect.
