Materials are almost always cheaper than time in man hours. So Silicone and polyurethane are usually not an issue in gatting a project done economically. However fast isn't always better. Just cheaper.
I use a cheap Black and Decker battery operated drill to pin my kits with. I typically use 1/16" brass rod as pinning material. Sometimes 3/32". The drill wasn't that expensive and it is a time and finger saver.

Yes, yes. I can't recommend that kit strongly enough. The SSS ver. is the most natural pose that matches to the manga. The WSC ver. is stiff (remember OBC did it) at its pose.
